Mystery shopping. These two words inspire completely different responses from women and men. When most women hear those two words they think fun and adventure. When most men hear those two words they are thinking boring, or there is one for the bottom of the honey-do list. In fact shopping itself is somewhat of a mystery to men.
That being said it is not surprising that very few men know they can earn money working from home doing mystery shopping. Also known as secret shopping, this is a simple and easy way to make money with no experience, training, or equipment needed except for your God Given senses.
The many different types of jobs available and the flexible schedule in which they can be done makes this a great part time employment opportunity. Most men may not even be aware of the existence of this profession which may be why most mystery shoppers are women. These companies do employ men though, as there are certain jobs that are better suited for men rather then women and vice-versa.
Mystery shopping companies are hired by businesses to provide feedback on everything from customer service to employee behaviour to how clean is the public bathroom. Since these businesses need the opinions of both women and men, then I say it is time for men to unravel the mystery and discover how to have fun shopping!
Just because people normally associate women with shopping does not mean that men do not shop. We do go shopping, we just approach the task differently.(you'll notice I used the word task when referring to men and shopping!) When we need beer and chips we go to the store and buy them. When we need new socks we wait for someone to give them to us for Christmas!
Seriously though, it really is time that more men consider the option of making money as a secret shopper. After all it really isn't shopping. Think about it for a minute. You will actually get paid to do things you already do like eat at your favorite restaraunt, go bowling, watch movies, play golf, have a beer and a snack at the local pub, or maybe even take a vacation on a cruise ship.
I don't know about you but this is starting to sound more like fun and less like shopping every minute. Anyone who will pay me to do these things is alright in my book! I think if they could come up with a different name for this job such as 'undercover mystery critic' or 'secret agent surveyor' there would be men lining up to fill the positions.
